The number of refugees
who have fled Syria and registered in Lebanon has surpassed the
"devastating milestone" of one million, the UN says.
Lebanon has now become the country with "the highest per
capita concentration of refugees worldwide," UN refugee agency chief
Antonio Guterres said."The influx... would be massive in any country. For Lebanon, a small nation beset by internal difficulties, the impact is staggering," he added.
Syria's civil war began in 2011.
