The MP of a woman released on bail after being jailed in the Dominican Republic for 12 years for killing her husband has said the family is hoping to settle down now she is home in Cardiff.
Nicola Reyes, 39, was convicted of killing 38-year-old Jorge Quintilla Reyes in a road collision in July 2012.
He was knocked off his motorbike by Reyes, but she has said it was an accident.
She had previously lost an appeal against her voluntary manslaughter sentence but is to appeal to the supreme court.
Her family were told she could be freed on bail while the appeal is pending for a sum of £62,000 which they raised, and she was released last week.
Stephen Doughty, MP for Cardiff South and Penarth, said he had had grave concerns about the fairness of the trials Reyes had been through.
